SANJANA SURESH IS AN ILLUSTRATOR, ARTIST AND WRITER BASED IN BANGALORE.
I've always been a storyteller, long before even comprehending the meaning of the word. Drawing inspiration from my experiences and occasionally people-watching, I'd love to resonate with readers who may see themselves within the pages or perhaps wish to live vicariously through the characters. My art style aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia utilising earthy palettes while capturing the reader with a page-turning story. I work with traditional mediums like watercolours, acrylic gouache, enjoy creating visible textures using coloured pencils or oil pastels and digital tools to elevate my illustrations.
Upon completing an online Continuing Education Course on "Children's Book Illustration", provided by the School of Visual Arts, NYC, I discovered my passion for children's illustration and have since dedicated my time into exploring numerous fictional worlds of my creation.
I'm actively querying my debut children's picture book that is suitable for ages 3 to 8 and in the later stages of drafting an early chapter book that is suitable for ages 5 to 8.
